Plumbing

When I was in class at trade school the instructor asked us to define what plumbers do.  All those who volunteered an answer basically said that plumbers install and repair water and waste pipes.  The instructor's response was that plumbers are responsible for ensuring the health and safety of America's water supply. I will never forget this lesson.

The plumbing work I perform is not limited to the following:

  • Shower Installation
  • Bathtub installation and drain
  • Sink installation and drain
  • Faucet installation
  • Sewer pipe
  • Well pumps
  • Water line repair

I hold a P-1 license which is required to perform plumbing and related piping work.

Shower Installation

When installing a new shower it is crucial to correctly do so.  An incorrectly plumbed shower, sink, or toilet could cause dirty water to enter your lines used for drinking and bathing.

I thought this shower installation came out really nice and the customers agreed!

Leaky pipe

The electrician discovered this nailed pipe while snaking new wires through the walls of an old home.  Not pictured is the nice looking piece of wood trim the carpenter unwittingly nailed into the pipe. The nail was simultaneously corking the hole it created in the pipe while slowly rusting away.  This is like a time bomb. Once the tip of the nail rusts away there would have been a significant flow of water out of the hole and major damage would be caused by that.  Luckily the issue was discovered before it was too late. I was able to harmlessly fix it by cutting out the punctured area and soldering a high quality fitting in place.
